Founder

Patty Johnson is the founder and principal of Connections Marketing & Communications. In 2007 Connections was launched to provide clients an integrated approach to accomplishing their business goals through relationship driven marketing and communications strategies.
Over the years, Patty has created and implemented programs for clients involving brand identity and positioning,
business development, client relations, community outreach, corporate communications, direct mail, event planning, media relations networking skills, strategic partnerships, as well as Web site and interactive marketing.

The approach used by Connections is based in obtaining an understanding of the business goals of a client, identifying key differentiators and opportunities, assembling a team of experts and developing a customized plan that incorporates impactful marketing and communications strategies for our team to implement. Having both agency and in-house marketing experience, Patty brings a unique perspective to the implementation of plans and works closely with clients to appropriately manage responsibilities, and best ensure results and a strong return on investment.

Prior to starting Connections, Patty served as Director of Marketing for one of the largest law firms in the western United States where she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing for the firm’s more than 400 attorneys practicing in six regional offices.  Her leadership resulted in the developing and launching an associate business development program that provided training and individual marketing strategies for developing attorneys.  She also worked directly with attorneys and practice areas to develop and implement marketing and business development plans targeting specific industries.

Prior to her law firm experience, Patty worked with one of the top advertising and public relations firms in Arizona.  While at the firm, she worked with clients in a wide variety of industries, including banking, construction, entertainment, golf, hospitality, investor relations, non-profit, real estate, retail, sports, technology and travel.
